Steve and the sequels:

He has two sequels; Anchorman 1 and 2, along with Bruce and Evan Almighty!
As you can see both show how much he had grown in his career!
If we take Bruce almighty first; it was his first movie ever to have a nice part in his opinion although he did Melinda and Melinda before! , he even didn’t believe himself because he thought  that director would cut his part, and to his full surprise he was in it!
And to our surprise he overshadowed Jim Carry himself, the only one who can do so!!
Evan Almighty was a different direction, and I think people didn’t expect that, they thought he would be given divine powers like Bruce and fail, instead he was given a mission to build an Ark. With him growing in months what should have been in years!
So people didn’t expect that, I think it was an intended philosophical movie that ended with a bang, the flood is not a flood just a broken dam, the point of having the ark what just to show obedience!
Because those who were on it didn’t die at all.
Its end ruined it, just for the sake to be PG 13. It could have had a deeper end than that!
Bruce was a different story it started with comedy and farce and ended with a strong philosophical ending, unexpectedly! humans have their limitations and to grow they have to accept them and bypass them at the same time!!!
His role in the first was just 2 scenes, while the other was the whole movie, and all this in just 3 years, see how fast he grew!!! Much like Noah in the movie!!

As for Anchorman, no one and I insist no one could have been Brick Tumbland except Steve Carell!!
When you see the audition tape you will know that he is the perfect Brick and he never changed a thing!!!
His quotes from the movie are the landmark of the movie, printed on Tshirts and best quoted on social media (I love lamb) (I don’t know what are we yelling about) (I ate a red scented candle), and it is nice to know that he improvised some of those golden quotes!!
Although Brick was supposed to have no lines, his lines and his face are the ones you end up remembering in this movie, not to shadow the Big Ron Burgundy or anything but yeah!!
In Anchorman 2 the brick resurrection is one of the most unique scenes in comedic cinema! He is doing the eulogy of himself like a live ghost who doesn’t understand why is everybody staring at him, sadly morning himself!!! And the love story that ensues after with Kristin Wiig character is just beyond!! (do you want to see the face I do when I get photo’d?)
Also the time slot and the role of Brick extended in the sequel, even his name was taged just second to Will Farrel which shows how much he had grown in the movie world!!

Steve Carell's personality

I have some glimpse of Steve's personality just from seeing him talking in interviews, and watching his movie choices, I kind of formed a vague idea of who he really is. He is a very private person, I don't think we will ever see the whole personality of Steve Carell just because he is so insanely-attractively hiding it! A loving doting father, a fascinated by his wife husband, a loyal person to his family and friends (just the close ones! Just kidding!), and a marvellous most versatile actor who can also play the Baritone Horn and Five , who could have possibly been a lawyer or a historian! What do you think of this picture, every bit of it is true, so he really is a nice person! Yes he is, but a nice person with an edge! He was very shy as a young gentleman around women and married his wife through agony-like courtship, with a lot of metaphorically asked questions: if I would go out with someone, it would be someone like you! And fortunately his wife s...

The Daily Show

The Daily Show played a very important part in shaping the Steve Carell we know, first off, he was called Steven before it and chose to shorten it to Steve after! He was shining in the Second City sketches and later in The Dana Carvey Show, but in the Daily Show he started to use the more subtle technique of comedy, where you use your poker face while saying the most absurd things you can figure, before that he used anger and increasing his voice pitch more, like in the Germans who say nice things! He started to master another form of comedy which is the self-tortured-whining in public kind, where he expresses all his vulnerability in front of a live audience! Also he tried a lot of different awkward situations each night, which resulted in a Michael Scott-ish situations! Here Michael Scott was born!!! As of acting, he acted hate, anger, love, but most of all self-ignorance or blindness to how he affects others thinking he is a genius while actually he is a buffoon!! He had...

The Office

Michael Scott is the heart and soul of the office! and that is apparent by the quick aching demise of the show after Steve Carell left the building!! In the first season, I wondered what an ugly, irritating , annoying, unfunny, egomaniac and self centred this boss is. I decided that may be this show was a mistake in the first place to watch.  Oh! I didn't watch it when it aired, just recently binge watched all the seasons, I was just searching for an old high rated TV show and this was the remaining one I had on a list after Cheers, Frasier etc. So I just regretted having all the seasons! Then after finishing season one achingly, I started season two just to test the waters, and thought if it is going the same way, then I will dump the rest of the episodes. Here when I saw the direction they took, they made Michael human!!! He is irritating and annoying because he can't understand others, he is self centred because he believes he is loved by those around him like ...
