Steve Carell's personality

I have some glimpse of Steve's personality just from seeing him talking in interviews, and watching his movie choices, I kind of formed a vague idea of who he really is.
He is a very private person, I don't think we will ever see the whole personality of Steve Carell just because he is so insanely-attractively hiding it!
A loving doting father, a fascinated by his wife husband, a loyal person to his family and friends (just the close ones! Just kidding!), and a marvellous most versatile actor who can also play the Baritone Horn and Five , who could have possibly been a lawyer or a historian!
What do you think of this picture, every bit of it is true, so he really is a nice person!

Yes he is, but a nice person with an edge!
He was very shy as a young gentleman around women and married his wife through agony-like courtship, with a lot of metaphorically asked questions: if I would go out with someone, it would be someone like you! And fortunately his wife said Lets go after months!
Being raised in a house of all-male brothers in a private all-male school is kind of the cause of this adorable shyness, which he overcame in his movies including the 40 years old virgin!
His fears somehow-I think- are the things that shaped his dark side as an actor and a comedian! He has a fear of being misunderstood or being seen as dorky, but he goes to the extremes in his work to be the most dorky and most insecure guy of the bunch!
He also has a fear of being angry because he thinks that it is madness and would make him loose control, and this is true in a way but I think somehow he might be a control freak because of this kind of fear as in his way of dressing himself, always neat and layered!
I think this happened after his kids were born because he was more messed up on the Dana Carvey Show than on the Daily show, he somehow connected it with a recipe to success and kept it going!
This fear could be due to what happened to his brothers where two of his brothers lost their wives and became widowers, this of course shed a cloud of sadness on the family, even when he describes the ad that always makes him cry, it is an ad about coffee where the brother comes home in Christmas  and the sister opens the door for him and they drank coffee together, he lost two sisters in law and seen the loss in his brothers' eyes. Also, this silver fox image that every body is freaked out by is after his mother died, I feel that his sadness was beyond description and went full-grey after, she was the most important person in shaping who Steve Carell is!
He adores his family but I think he is like Dan in real life in being controlling every aspect of their life and being afraid of or even terrified all the time about them! I don't say that this is unhealthy or abnormal , actually it is the most normal thing in the whole world but he is excessive in it! He once said about his daughter she can date after she is married!
I think he is also a very jealous guy about his wife, also normal and adorable but he once said that after she visited the set of Get smart and was crushing on the Rock, his kiss scene with the rock was next day! Call me  coincidence but I think not!
But he is the collaborative husband that made her shine in the creation of Angie Tribeca!
Somehow he is insecure about his looks, either face, or body hair and always makes himself the butt of many jokes, even movies to emphasize that, if you don't believe me see how uncomfortable he is when he was flattered for being Clooney's brother silver fox. His reply is always this " I feel like your flattery is dripping with irony!!"
And this insecurity about his looks makes him so endearing, because when you are full of yourself you just make people less aware of how good you are and more of how awful you can be!
These fears which seems normal- and are really normal -form the main bulk of his dark side!
That side that we saw in Foxcatcher, that side that we saw in some dark episodes of the office. He could always portray those accessible vulnerable characters that has a deep flaws that they hide from others, thinking that if everybody uncovered, they will be mocking them and not accepting their points of weakness, and these points of weakness which when blown up in front of everybody are the most endearing thing that could ever have caused others to empathize with them!
Being a comedian you must possess a sharp mind for human imperfections and above all your own and Steve possesses that, he just chose to deal with it in a different way, not the gregarious stand-up way like Amy Shummer or Steve Martin, but in reserved more queit-lawyerly-like  way as Jack Lemmon and Peter Sellers!
He just doesn't love it when you see how the magic is done behind the curtain, he loves it when the illusion stands out by itself and you  are never disillusioned!
Despite this so called dark side, which mainly is a reflection of understanding of the world and the human nature that the average person doesn't have a grip of, he loves being silly and ridiculous and childish; Gru/Dru and Brick are the most obvious examples of that!!
His unbelievably talented and quiet charming personality are equally magical and illuminating to this world!

The Daily Show

The Daily Show played a very important part in shaping the Steve Carell we know, first off, he was called Steven before it and chose to shorten it to Steve after! He was shining in the Second City sketches and later in The Dana Carvey Show, but in the Daily Show he started to use the more subtle technique of comedy, where you use your poker face while saying the most absurd things you can figure, before that he used anger and increasing his voice pitch more, like in the Germans who say nice things! He started to master another form of comedy which is the self-tortured-whining in public kind, where he expresses all his vulnerability in front of a live audience! Also he tried a lot of different awkward situations each night, which resulted in a Michael Scott-ish situations! Here Michael Scott was born!!! As of acting, he acted hate, anger, love, but most of all self-ignorance or blindness to how he affects others thinking he is a genius while actually he is a buffoon!! He had...

The Office

Michael Scott is the heart and soul of the office! and that is apparent by the quick aching demise of the show after Steve Carell left the building!! In the first season, I wondered what an ugly, irritating , annoying, unfunny, egomaniac and self centred this boss is. I decided that may be this show was a mistake in the first place to watch.  Oh! I didn't watch it when it aired, just recently binge watched all the seasons, I was just searching for an old high rated TV show and this was the remaining one I had on a list after Cheers, Frasier etc. So I just regretted having all the seasons! Then after finishing season one achingly, I started season two just to test the waters, and thought if it is going the same way, then I will dump the rest of the episodes. Here when I saw the direction they took, they made Michael human!!! He is irritating and annoying because he can't understand others, he is self centred because he believes he is loved by those around him like ...
