Steve and the sequels:

He has two sequels; Anchorman 1 and 2, along with   Bruce and Evan Almighty! As you can see both show how much he had grown in his career! If we take Bruce almighty first; it was his first movie ever to have a nice part in his opinion although he did Melinda and Melinda before! , he even didn’t believe himself because he thought   that director would cut his part, and to his full surprise he was in it!  And to our surprise he overshadowed Jim Carry himself, the only one who can do so!! Evan Almighty was a different direction, and I think people didn’t expect that, they thought he would be given divine powers like Bruce and fail, instead he was given a mission to build an Ark. With him growing in months what should have been in years!  So people didn’t expect that, I think it was an intended philosophical movie that ended with a bang, the flood is not a flood just a broken dam, the point of having the ark what just to show obedience!  Because those wh...

Steve and the portrayal of true characters:

He has a lot of experience in that dimension, all in recent years, more specifically after his first one as John Du Pont in Foxcatcher 2014! He portrayed Steve Eisman (Mark Baum in The big short), Steven Goldenstein (Freeheld), Bobby Riggs (in Battle of the sexes), and lately in his newest movie Ramsfeld He wears his characters under his own skin, breathes as them, talks as them and I think Thinks as them! He was only praised by Steve Eisman in the Big Short, where he said that Steve Carell’s Portrayal was the most accurate of him at that specific time,  well! He ought to..... he gained 25 pounds for that role!! When you see the big short you will see the transformation, just on point display of character that is angry with deep moral value and cynicism to a fraud system he can’t beat but can bet against! Another transformation happened in Foxcatcher, you can’t even recognize the guy. I think this is the closest thing Steve Carell ever done to a horror movie, with ...

Get Smart!

I will start by this movie, not because it is the most fabulous, although it is fabulous, but because it is the first time I saw a comedic action movie and loved it. It was not silly and not deep but deep enough to believe. I have never seen this combination before, to have credible problems with credible solutions yet has the most hilarious ones too, I couldn't make up my mind, is this an action movie or a comedic one, yet it is better than both. Later this formula evaded to most of the Bond-like movies in different degrees! As serious and excellent Max is in his job, the more we laugh and admire him. He doesn't think he is funny, he is persistently trying to accomplish his dreams! Anne Hathaway- a real life fan of Steve- can't be more adorable as an efficient agent that changed her face to hide a blown up work relation with an agent who is working 10 feet away, just to avoid working behind a desk.  On the other hand Max while very efficient in working behind the des...

Who is Steve Carell? The man! The legend!

As funny as this could be, it would contain the truth! I think that is Steve’s motto or one of his mottos !! Playing a funny guy is not his end goal, nor is it his way to do it! The most funny moments you get is; when you are dead serious and don’t know that you are funny to begin with Steve Carell is not just a funny guy in movies! So who he really is?!, as much as he tells us that he is too boring in real life and couldn’t be more unfunny, yet we refuse to believe him! Hollywood has drawn this awful picture of fame; to be interesting to others you must have a notorious self and deep demons to fight that are either border with mental illness or a terrible personality problem!! Any body who looks normal is an anomaly in this dark holes studded sky! And Steve problem is that he is normal in that way, but don’t get me wrong, ONLY in this way, in every other aspect he is a true fascinating person. So what if he doesn’t have a big personality ...
